SQL Soundmat features a multi-layer damping structure, with each layer engineered for a specific performance function:

Layer 1 – Closed Cell Acoustic Foam (3.5mm Waterproof Layer)

The top layer consists of a waterproof closed-cell foam that helps absorb and control speaker back waves. This reduces unwanted resonance inside door panels, resulting in cleaner midrange, improved clarity, and deeper bass response.

Layer 2 – Aluminum Constraining Layer

The middle aluminum foil layer acts as a thermal barrier and vibration stabilizer, improving heat resistance while enhancing the structural rigidity of the material. It also increases flexibility, allowing Soundmat to conform easily to curved and irregular vehicle surfaces.

Layer 3 – High-Strength Butyl Rubber Adhesive Layer
